Aloha Castle 67 classmates!

Our 50th Class Reunion is upon us in 2017 and the planning committee has started to organize the festivities for next year.

The California Hotel/Main Street Station in Las Vegas is our venue for our 50th CHS Reunion.  Please save the weekend on March 3-5, 2017 for a great time in Vegas. More details will be announced as we progress in the planning. We have planned events for Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Recommend coming in Thursday & leaving Monday if you would like to attend all events planned.  Check back here, for more information. We look forward to seeing everyone in March 3-5, 2017!
Mahalo,
50th Reunion

P.S. Special thanks to Rudy Obrero for his talent and time in creating our theme/logo for the big 50.

      1. Hi Linda, just getting back on track. Last month we had another grandson – it never ends, ha ha, hope to keep in contact. I keep in contact with Shirley Terado, so hopefully I can get her on board.

  2. Haven’t seen any requests for donations for the 50th Reunion – did I miss it? Or does our class have enough money to host the celebration without donations?

  3. Our first donation for our 50th Reunion comes from Joyce Matsumoto. No one would take her money for her lunch last week, so she made it a donation to the class reunion fund.

      1. I am so looking forward to the reunion but just came back from one of my older sisters funeral, the day after I came back got a call from my sister that my 24 year old nephew of one of my older sister had passed away. So our family is going through some sad times, trying to get back into the grove of things. Jan can you message me your telephone number. Talked to my cousin David Carbonell, he’s looking forward to going to the reunion and had a visit with Joycelyn Lau and she hopes to go once I get more information, Mahalo.

  4. Donating $ to the reunion in Las Vegas. Will look for an address to send it. The website is a whole world of difference. It is much more friendlier. Nice to see everyone.

    1. Hi! Linda,

Steve & Robertha Yamaguchi will be donating some goodies for your banquet reception table to give to our classmates. My wife’s uncle Chris & Melinda Kaahanui will be giving you some things for your raffle give away! Chris & Melinda had left HNL on February 26th to arrive in Las Vegas on February 27th due to they own a home in the gated community of Los Padros. My wife and I will be leaving HNL on March 1st and will be staying at the California Hotel. It’s been a long time and I can’t wait to see all of my Class of 1967 classmates**

  8. Hi gang, I missed out on the Main Street booking by 5 minutes. Had to book at a hotel close by. Will I need to rent a car? I can get a shuttle from the airport. The Golden Gate is a block away, but I don’t know if it would be walk friendly. Mahalo Sandy

    1. Sandy, I haven’t stayed there before but it is less than 5 mins walk to either The Cal or Main Street. There is a great breakfast place on the first floor, Dupars. I don’t think you will need a car unless you want to explore the strip area. Might be best to just get a cab or there is a rental desk at the Main Street.

      1. Mahalo for all your help. We would like to see Blue Man group while we are there, which night would be the best to book that? Friday or Sat.? I believe they have a 9:30 pm showing, but don’t want to miss any Castle activities.

  11. ʻAnoʻai kakou! Mahalo to everyone who made it to our 50th reunion in Vegas! Special thank you to all those who worked very hard to prepare everything and make our reunion run so smoothly. Really enjoyed all the events…from hospitality room gatherings, slots, banquet/prom night, brunch, and all the opportunities for one-on-one talks. Our classmates have taken many varied paths after high school, but are still connected to the windward side of Oahu and Koolaupoko. Tarrrriffik!! A hui hou!
